For 34 consecutive years, the Saugerties Athletic Association has teed off its annual golf tournament at the Rip Van Winkle Country Club, drawing hundreds of local sponsors and players each September. Every dollar raised funds SAA's youth basketball, softball, volleyball, and golf leagues — and helps families facing hardship, especially around the holidays.
Tournament Chairman Greg Chorvas wrote to thank the club: “This would never have been possible if not for the combined hundreds of businesses, organizations and individuals who have taken various levels of sponsorship each year... Your overwhelming support and generosity is truly remarkable.”
