Tucked into Atonement Lutheran Church on Market Street, God Given Bread Food Pantry has quietly fed Saugerties families for nearly four decades. Twice a week, volunteers open their doors for regular food distribution, and throughout the year they add holiday food baskets and a seasonal fresh-vegetable program to reach neighbors facing hunger.

The pantry has sent the club several notes of thanks over the past year. One reads: “On behalf of God Given Bread Food Pantry of Saugerties and the families we serve, we humbly thank you for your support... Your support makes a real difference to our neighbors in need, and provides hope for a better tomorrow.”
