Once a month, volunteers at St. John the Evangelist Church open a food pantry at their new home on Cedar Street, welcoming anyone in need of a helping hand — no questions asked. It's a small operation with an outsized heart, run entirely by parish volunteers.
Their thank-you card to the club, signed by more than a dozen volunteers, put it plainly: “We so appreciate your gift to the St. John's food pantry. Without you we could not do what we do. You make the difference in the world. Thank you!!!”
